Money Sherpa holds an AFSL No. 451289 and has authorised me to provide general financial product advice and to arrange and deal in a range of financial products. This means that when I provide you with factual information or general advice about financial products and services, I do so as their representative

When it comes to financial products or a class of financial products any advice I provide will be general advice and won’t be tailored to your personal circumstances.

The purpose of this document

The FSG is designed to help you understand the services that I am authorised to provide and to decide whether you wish to use the services I offer.

 It outlines: 

  • The services and types of products that I am authorised to provide to you; 

  • How I am paid for the services I provide;

  • Any associations, interests or relationships that might influence our advice or the services I provide; and 

  • how you can provide me with feedback on my services or get help if you have a problem.

Money Sherpa has authorised me to distribute this FSG.

 

My services

Betsy Westcott and the Inner Money Journey exists to transform your relationship with money and expand your capacity to create long term, sustainable wealth. My goal is to help you understand your unique thoughts, feelings and beliefs around money revealing how this impacts your financial wellbeing. Furthermore, I support you to build your financial capabilities and confidence so that you can make better financial decisions.

During the coaching experience you can expect me to provide personal advice in relation to your money psychology and behaviours. This is designed to help you to build your financial capabilities, your confidence when making financial decisions, and liberate you from self sabotaging financial behaviours. When it comes to specific financial products (or class of financial products) any recommendation or opinion I express will be general in nature and will not take into account your personal circumstance.

I am authorised to provide general advice and deal in deposit products, debentures, shares,  bonds (issued or proposed to be issued by a government), life insurance products, managed investment schemes (including investor directed portfolio services), retirement savings accounts ("RSA") products (within the meaning of the Retirement Savings Account Act 1997), Securities (including ETFs) and superannuation.

I don’t provide personal financial product advice so you’ll never receive a Statement of Advice (“SoA”) from me. 

Costs and Conflicts

Neither The Inner Money Journey nor Money Sherpa are owned by Fund Managers, Insurers or Banks so the services we provide are not directly influenced by product manufacturers. 

We are however a commercial enterprise and we may receive remuneration from product issuers for services provided (such as workshops or content) from time to time.  

We may also receive remuneration for referring you to a product or advice provider. Any payment I receive is paid to me by the Issuer from their own resources and is not a direct cost to you.

Protecting your Privacy

The privacy of your personal information is important to me and I respect your confidentiality. We won’t ask you for information we don’t need but, we may collect some personal information from you.

You have the right not to provide the personal information we request, but this may compromise the effectiveness of the advice or information you receive. Rest assured that any personal information we collect or receive will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Feedback and dispute resolution

We welcome your feedback on the content and service we provide and encourage you to share your thoughts and comments. You can email your feedback to me directly at hello@innermoneyjourney.com

I am committed to providing you with the best possible service. If at any time I have not met your expectations – or you have a complaint about any of our services – please inform me so I can work towards a resolution. I will endeavour to deal with your complaint promptly, thoroughly and fairly. If you have a complaint relating to the Financial Advice or Services I provide, I request you follow these steps:

  1. Tell me directly by emailing hello@innermoneyjourney.com

  2. I will acknowledge your complaint within 24 hours and seek to resolve your concerns within 21 days.

If I do not resolve your concern, you may write or email the Money Sherpa complaints officer (complaints@lifesherpa.com.au) who will respond to you and seek to resolve the issue.

If you are still not satisfied, you may contact our External Dispute Resolution Service (it’s free)

The Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA) is an independent and impartial external dispute resolution (EDR) ombudsman, approved by ASIC. Money Sherpa’s member number is 34698.

You may contact them at any time, but they may ask you to wait until our internal processes are complete before they will consider your complaint further.

If your complaint relates to a product or service acquired through a third party (for example, a lender) I may ask you to contact the relevant third party. They will deal with your complaint under their complaints handling process.

I have the benefit of a Professional Indemnity Insurance policy maintained by Money Sherpa which meets ASIC’s requirements.
